According to Golfweek and other U.S. media on the 27th (local time), "Woods and Elin both attended the high school golf championship victory ceremony held at Benjamin High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida," adding, "Their son Charlie was receiving a championship ring as a member of the Benjamin High School golf team." Charlie contributed to Benjamin High School's fourth overall championship by competing in the Florida High School Sports Class A team championship held last November.
Woods married Nordegren in 2004 and had a daughter, Sam, and a son, Charlie, before divorcing in 2010. Even after their divorce, Woods and Nordegren occasionally attended events where Charlie competed, but they took separate routes and did not encounter each other. During the family golf tournament PNC Championship, where Woods and Charlie participated together, Nordegren watched the father and son's game with their daughter Sam, but Woods and Nordegren did not meet.
At this recent award ceremony for Charlie, Woods was captured standing right next to Nordegren as she took photos with Charlie. Nordegren held her son from her remarriage and took commemorative photos with Charlie, while Woods looked on with a pleased expression, hands clasped beside them. Nordegren married former American professional football player Jordan Cameron in 2019.
