Compared to last year's reported amounts, 201 people (42.5%) saw an increase in their property, while 272 people (57.5%) experienced a decrease.

The main reasons for the increase in property were real estate purchases including inheritance, salary, and increases in insurance and deposit savings. On the other hand, reasons for the decrease included sales of buildings and land, as well as increased debt due to household loans.

The committee will review the property change reports of these property disclosers by the end of June. In particular, they plan to focus on the virtual asset reports included from this year and examine any illicit property accumulation related to their duties to enhance the integrity of Gyeonggi Province.

Those obligated to register property must report changes in property of themselves, their spouses, and direct ascendants and descendants from January 1 to December 31 every year by the end of February of the following year, according to Article 6 (Change Report) of the Public Officials Ethics Act. Property disclosure subjects must make the information public within one month after the reporting period ends.

Meanwhile, 193 people including the governor, vice governor, level 1 or higher public officials, provincial council members, and mayors and county heads under the jurisdiction of the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee (Ministry of Personnel Management) can be checked in the Government Gazette or the Public Officials Ethics System.
