Ulleung-gun Holds Appointment Ceremony and Meeting of Investment and Contribution Institution Operation Deliberation Committee

Feasibility Review for Establishing Talent Development Foundation... Momentum Builds

On the 26th, Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk Province held an appointment ceremony and meeting for the members of the Ulleung-gun Investment and Contribution Institution Operation Deliberation Committee in the county office conference room.

The Ulleung-gun Investment and Contribution Institution Operation Deliberation Committee is responsible for deliberating and deciding on matters related to the establishment and operation feasibility, as well as the management performance evaluation of investment and contribution institutions.

This committee reviewed and approved the feasibility of establishing the Ulleung-gun Talent Development Foundation, a contribution institution, including its impact on resident welfare and the local economy.

The Ulleung-gun Talent Development Foundation plans to provide full tuition support for all university students who graduated from Ulleung High School for four years, as well as support for loan interest caused by monthly or yearly rent up to 300,000 KRW per month, creating an environment where students can study without being constrained by their financial situation.

Nam Han-kwon, the county governor, said, “The Ulleung-gun Talent Development Foundation will be a great help in nurturing local talents,” adding, “Ulleung-gun will continue to support education projects so that students can get one step closer to their dreams.”

Following the securing of establishment feasibility, the county plans to proceed with related procedures such as requesting the second establishment consultation with Gyeongbuk Province, enacting ordinances, deliberation and approval by the council, and designation and notification by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
