Prosecutor Byun's assets include an apartment in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu under his wife's name (9.3 billion KRW), a commercial building in Yongdap-dong, Seongdong-gu (about 258 million KRW), and a lodging facility pre-sale right in Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do (400 million KRW). Additionally, 19 pieces of artwork including prints and Western paintings worth about 1.537 billion KRW and land in Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do worth about 1.613 billion KRW were also reported under his wife's name.

The person who reported the second largest assets was Lee Jong-yeop, Chairman of the Korea Legal Aid Corporation, who declared about 8.431 billion KRW.
