'Mind Relief Bus' Supporting Mental Health Recovery for Incheon Citizens Continues This Year

Incheon City will continue to operate the 'Ma-eum Anshim Bus' that provides mental health counseling and support this year as well.

The Ma-eum Anshim Bus is the only mobile mental care counseling room in the metropolitan area, converted from a 45-seat large bus. It offers stress screening and one-on-one mental health counseling, and when necessary, connects citizens to local mental health services to help restore their mental well-being.

Since its full operation began in 2022, it has operated a total of 290 times to date. Providing mental care services to approximately 8,500 people at least 3 to 4 times a week.

It has also visited islands in Ongjin County such as Deokjeokdo and Jangbongdo to care for residents' mental health, and responded promptly to disasters such as the Hyundai Market fire and rental fraud incidents, enhancing the mobility of psychological support.

According to last year's satisfaction survey on the use of the Ma-eum Anshim Bus, 98% of users responded positively. This year, the city plans to further expand service areas in collaboration with local mental health welfare institutions and basic mental health welfare centers, and to provide multifaceted psychological support including customized linkage for high-risk groups identified and financial support for treatment costs.

An official from Incheon City said, "We hope people actively use the Ma-eum Anshim Bus to recover their mental health through stress measurement, one-on-one mental health counseling, and stress relief support."
