For 7,136 New Students and First-Year Transfer and Returning Students

Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, announced on the 27th that it will provide financial support for school uniform purchases to new and transfer high school students for the 2024 academic year.

A total of 7,136 students, including new students and first-year transfer students from 24 high schools, will receive support for purchasing uniforms such as summer and winter uniforms and daily wear. The support amount per student is up to 300,000 KRW, with a total budget of 2.148 billion KRW.

Applications for the school uniform purchase subsidy can be made by voluntarily purchasing the uniforms first and then submitting the application form along with the purchase receipt during the school's designated application period. The payment will be deposited into the student's or guardian's designated account according to the school's schedule.

Mayor Park Sang-don said, "I hope that new high school students and first-year transfer students for the 2024 academic year can start the new semester with energy through the support for school uniform expenses."
