Collaboration with HDC Hyundai Development Company for Customized Security Service Development
SK Shieldus announced on the 27th that it will collaborate with HDC Hyundai Development Company to establish an integrated security system within the I-Park complex. This collaboration was prepared to create a safe living environment in response to online and offline security threats spreading to residential areas, such as residential intrusion crimes and smart home hacking. The goal is to develop customized security services covering individual households and the entire complex, and to build a security system linked to smart home services for residents.
To this end, both companies plan to introduce a proactive integrated security system encompassing information security, physical security, and personal home security from the construction phase of the I-Park apartments. First, SK Shieldus will apply the information security subscription service “CyberGuard” to the smart home system of the I-Park complex. CyberGuard provides various security functions, including cloud-based Network Access Control (NAC), which can preemptively block cyberattacks targeting apartments, such as hacking of the wall pad.
They will also strengthen security capabilities through ADT Caps’ unmanned security services. When SOS emergency bells and fire detectors installed throughout the complex alert an emergency, ADT Caps personnel will directly dispatch or promptly support 119 fire reports to protect residents’ safety. Additionally, autonomous patrol robots equipped with AI CCTV will be introduced to monitor security blind spots within the complex 24 hours a day.
At the point when the apartment management authority legally shifts from the construction company to the residents’ representative committee, most of the integrated security system established from the construction phase will be donated free of charge. Furthermore, the scope of business cooperation will continue to expand, such as by including CapsHome services as a basic option during I-Park sales, aiming to set a standard for safe residential security.
An SK Shieldus official said, “This business agreement is significant in that it proactively establishes an integrated online and offline security system from the construction phase tailored to the characteristics of apartment complexes, the representative residential form in Korea,” adding, “In the future, we will contribute to the safety of customers and society through innovative service development suited not only to apartments but also to various residential types.”
