On the 24th (local time), he claimed the top spot at the Valspar Championship (total prize money $8.4 million) held at the Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course (par 71, 7,340 yards) in Palm Harbor, Florida, USA. This was his second career win, nine years after his victory at the 2015 Sanders Farms Championship, with a winner's prize of $1,512,000 (approximately 2 billion KRW).

Malnati finished the final day by shooting 4 under par to secure a two-stroke victory. His back-to-back birdies on holes 17 and 18 were spectacular. At the 18th hole (par 4), he wiped away tears just before making a short winning putt. He was emotional and choked up even while holding his son during the winner's interview. Despite serving as a PGA Tour policy board member this year amid many issues such as merger negotiations with LIV Golf, which made it difficult to focus on his game, overcoming these challenges made this victory even more meaningful.

Just before this tournament, as a member of the policy board, he met with Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF), in the Bahamas, which prevented him from properly practicing rounds. In particular, he was invited to the exclusive AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a tournament for which he was not qualified, but he quelled controversy over alleged preferential treatment due to his policy board position. "Life is really tough. Still, I fulfilled my dream of playing in the Masters," he said.

Malnati's green play was outstanding at the Valspar Championship. Over four days, he ranked first in putts per green in regulation (1.60). He ranked 11th in total putts per round (26.50) and third in strokes gained putting (8.307), highlighting his putting prowess. He carried a Scotty Cameron TourType Special Select Masterful Tour Prototype putter in his bag.
