Eating a Balanced Diet for Health, Learning Proper Tooth Brushing, etc.
Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 26th that the Integrated Health Promotion Center and Oral Health Center conducted integrated health education, including oral and nutrition education, to promote proper healthy lifestyle habits and prevent obesity among preschool children.
This education was provided to 7-year-old preschool children who requested direct education and included ▲ balanced eating for health (nutrition) ▲ learning proper tooth brushing (oral health) ▲ understanding one’s body through physical measurements (healthy lifestyle practice) ▲ smoking prevention by learning the harms of tobacco (smoking cessation).
The county health center plans to offer various health management services that children can experience in daily life through integrated health education to help them develop proper habits, and will continue to provide services upon educational requests.
Jeong Jeong-ja, Director of the Health Management Division, said, “Developing proper health habits in early childhood can prevent diseases caused by obesity in adulthood,” adding, “We will discover and operate diverse programs to help children grow up healthily.”
