121 Treatment Sessions Since 2013
Lotte Wellfood announced on the 25th that the 'Doctor Xylitol Bus,' in collaboration with the Korean Dental Association, visited Miaam Elementary School located in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, to mark its 121st round of medical treatment. Miaam Elementary School is a small rural school with only 11 students enrolled.

Lotte Wellfood and the Korean Dental Association visited Miaam Elementary School, a medically underserved area, at the start of the school term. The 'Doctor Xylitol Bus' included a medical team of about 10 volunteers, including Wi Se-ryang, Head of Communications at Lotte Wellfood, Choi Jong-gi, Director of External Cooperation at the Korean Dental Association, and Jung Yoon-seok, External Cooperation Committee member. They provided medical treatment to the students of Miaam Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 22nd. The visiting specialists conducted oral examinations and oral health education for children to promote healthy teeth.
Lotte Wellfood established the 'Xylitol Healthy Teeth Children Award' and presented xylitol products and scholarships to students selected as healthy teeth children. Additionally, all patients who received treatment were given Lotte Wellfood snacks, creating an enjoyable experience.
Lotte Wellfood has been running the 'Doctor Xylitol Bus is Coming' campaign for 12 years since 2013. This campaign is part of the 'Healthy Teeth Korea' project and is a social contribution initiative jointly promoted by Lotte Wellfood and the Korean Dental Association to provide practical help to underprivileged neighbors. Once a month, they visit organizations for the disabled and dental medically underserved areas to offer free dental treatment, oral health education, and various events, receiving positive responses from local residents.
The 'Doctor Xylitol Bus' has visited various locations nationwide, from Jeju Island to Gangwon Province and even Yeonpyeong Island, with over 1,200 dental professionals and medical staff participating in the campaign so far. More than 6,000 dental patients have received treatment, with over 9,400 cases handled.
