Cultural Heritage Administration, Digital Content Competition
A platform will be established to assess the potential uses of digital data related to national heritage. This is the National Heritage Digital Content Competition hosted by the Cultural Heritage Administration under the theme "Meeting National Heritage through Digital Content." The competition is divided into student and general categories, accepting submissions from July 15 to August 11 in the areas of planning and content (digital utilization ideas and virtual convergence content) and 3D data (3D modeling, avatar modeling, and 3D printing). Any interested citizen can participate individually or as a team (up to three members).
The Cultural Heritage Administration will comprehensively evaluate planning ability, creativity, applicability, and completeness to select nineteen teams or individuals. After expert consultation and advice, awards such as the Grand Prize (Cultural Heritage Administration Commissioner), Excellence Award, and Special Award will be given in each category. The total prize money amounts to 31 million KRW. The winning works will be specially exhibited at the awards ceremony held in September at the Daejeon Convention Center in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. They will also be showcased in an online exhibition later.
