Nongshim's 'Phu Phat Phong Curry' and 'Kimchi Jjaguri' Released as Large Bowl Noodles

Nongshim announced on the 24th that it will launch new cup noodle products, ‘Pupatpongguri Large Bowl Noodles’ and ‘Kimchi Jjaguri Large Bowl Noodles’.

These products allow consumers to enjoy the flavors of the Thai dish Pupatpong Curry and the Korean kimchi jjaguri in a slightly soupy broth.

Pupatpongguri captures the spicy yet creamy taste of the popular Thai dish Pupatpong Curry, featuring spicy curry, coconut milk, and crab-flavored surimi chunks. Kimchi Jjaguri uses beef bone and anchovy broth along with abundant kimchi pieces to bring out the rich flavor of kimchi jjaguri.

Both products are designed for microwave cooking without draining water, allowing consumers to enjoy a slightly soupy and rich sauce flavor. A Nongshim representative said, “These products have a texture between soup and stir-fry, allowing the broth flavor to soak well into the noodles, enhancing the taste,” adding, “You can also add various toppings that complement the deep flavors of curry and jjaguri according to your preference.”

To appeal to the core target audience of people in their teens and twenties (1020 generation), the ‘Neoguri’ brand was actively utilized in the product design and contents. The product names and packaging feature the ‘Neoguri’ character, and the noodles and toppings emphasize a chewy texture with the original Neoguri’s thick noodles and character fish cakes.

A Nongshim representative stated, “These two new Pupatpongguri products are a new type of cup noodles with a slightly soupy broth,” and added, “We plan to continue introducing various gourmet dishes as a series in the future.”

Nongshim’s Pupatpongguri Large Bowl Noodles will be available nationwide starting on the 8th of next month, and Kimchi Jjaguri Large Bowl Noodles will be sold from the 15th.
