The 2024 Gyeongnam General Election Disability Discrimination Abolition Solidarity held its launch rally on the afternoon of the 22nd at the fountain square of Jungwoo Shopping Center in Changwon and conducted a march to demand rights.

The Solidarity emphasized, "People with disabilities also want to move freely and work," and stated, "The 22nd general election should be an election that marks the transition to an era where people with disabilities move as citizens."

They described the era's tasks as ▲free movement for all ▲movement toward labor centered on rights ▲movement toward an era of living together with the local community through deinstitutionalization.

The march started at the fountain square of Jungwoo Shopping Center in Changwon, passed Changwon City Hall, near Changwon Tax Office, the road in front of the provincial government office, and ended at the provincial council.

During the march, an unexpected situation occurred where the Solidarity stopped the procession for about 6 to 7 minutes in the middle of the intersection road in front of the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office to continue their speeches.

This blocked vehicle movement in both directions, but the police riot squad motorcycles and patrol cars arrived and helped direct traffic with hand signals, quickly resolving the congestion.
