From April 28 to June 9 at Ttukbang Market
Famous sculptors participate, showcasing 20 sculptures
Gokseong-gun in Jeollanam-do and Crown Haitai will hold the Sculpture Exhibition "Gyeonsaeng (見生)" from the 28th to June 9th at the Ttukbang Market area along Gokseongcheon Stream in Gokseong-eup.
"Gyeonsaeng (見生)" originated from a comment made by a visitor who saw the artwork at Severance Hospital in Seoul in 2017, saying, "Looking at the sculpture makes me feel life energy rising." It carries the meaning of "seeing brings vitality."
This exhibition features 20 large sculptures by renowned sculptors who are actively creating works both domestically and internationally, including Kim Sukbin, Kim Youngho, Kim Jeongyeon, Na Inseong, Ryu Jongwon, Moon Min, Park Jaeseok, Park Jeongyong, Byeon Jiyeon, Song Hyunggu, Song Hyeonjin, Yoon Seonjong, Lee Ruri, Lee Myeonghun, Lee Byungseon, Jeon Baekjin, Jeon Sindeok, Jeong Deuri, Jo Yuna, and Choi Hyeonho.
The beautiful scenery of Gokseongcheon and the artworks will create a unique atmosphere. In particular, the "Ttukbang Market," held every Saturday during the exhibition period, and the "Rose Festival," starting from May 17th, are expected to offer various attractions to tourists alongside the sculpture exhibition.
Sculptor Yoon Seonjong said, "I participate in the Gokseong 'Gyeonsaeng Sculpture Exhibition' every year, and I feel proud as an artist because it receives great praise from the residents and visitors. I hope people enjoy the charm of sculpture while appreciating the artworks on a spring day when cherry blossoms bloom."
