Seongsan Fire Station Holds Inauguration and Farewell Ceremony for Female Volunteer Firefighters Association President

On the 22nd, Seongsan Fire Station of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held the inauguration and retirement ceremony of the Seongsan Fire Station Women's Volunteer Fire Brigade Association President in the main conference room, attended by about 50 fire officers and volunteer firefighters.

At the event, the efforts of Jo Myeong-sun, the outgoing president of the Women's Volunteer Fire Brigade Association, who was active in many disaster sites and volunteer meetings during her tenure, were commended, and a plaque of appreciation and a certificate of appointment were presented to welcome the incoming president, Park Young-ok.


President Jo, who stepped down, was appointed in 2022 and demonstrated leadership by guiding the Seongsan Women's Volunteer Fire Brigade members with a proactive attitude and a spirit of service throughout her tenure.


President Park, who took office, said, “I thank the former president for her hard work and dedication. I will do my best to ensure the unity of the volunteer fire brigade and the safety of the local community.”


Chief Kang Jong-tae expressed his gratitude to outgoing President Jo Myeong-sun for fulfilling her duties with service and sacrifice. He also urged the newly appointed President Park Young-ok to fully perform her role as a guardian of safety for the citizens of Changwon.
