Genesis launched the full-size sedan G90 Black on the 21st. It is the first model to apply the Black design concept, characterized by finishing both the interior and exterior in black to give a luxurious impression.
The exterior features black on the front bumper, radiator grille, emblem, brake calipers, and more. The brand name in the center of the trunk lid is darkened, while the model name and all-wheel-drive emblem have been completely removed.
The interior is also entirely black, including the seat covering, quilting, wood garnish, speaker covers, switches, and door buttons. The company explained that they carefully selected materials such as leather and sewing thread to ensure that the black color is fully expressed in any environment, regardless of light intensity or reflection.
It comes in a single trim with a gasoline 3.5 turbo 48V electric supercharger all-wheel-drive system, and includes major premium features as standard, except for the panoramic sunroof, built-in cam package, and vehicle protection film. Customers can choose between 4-seat and 5-seat configurations. Basic membership benefits are provided at the same level as the long-wheelbase model. The price starts from 138 million KRW.
Along with the release of the G90 Black, the 2024 model year G90, which is a facelifted version, was also introduced on the same day. Preferred features such as Ghost Door Closing and Mood Curator were included as standard. A rear seat door control button was added, and a projection-type reverse guide lamp was newly installed.
