"Considering How to Reflect Citizen-Proposed Policies"
On the 20th, Jeong Jang-seon, the mayor of Pyeongtaek City, Gyeonggi Province, inspected the site of the Wonpyeong-dong Noeul Ecological Park Trail Construction Project, a proposal under the "If I Were Mayor!" initiative, the city announced on the 21st.

This project involves creating an 8.6km trail from Noeul Ecological Cultural Park to Sopung Garden. It was selected as the top project at last year's "If I Were Mayor!" citizen participation policy proposal contest and is currently underway. Pyeongtaek City holds the annual citizen cooperation contest "If I Were Mayor!" to develop policies and seek solutions through various citizen proposals.
During the inspection, Mayor Jeong personally walked the trail under construction to check the progress and listened directly to the proposal from the citizen who suggested the project. The proposer expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you for your attention to concretely realize the ideas proposed by citizens," and added, "I hope the trail will become a popular walking spot in Pyeongtaek City."
Mayor Jeong stated, "I will work with the relevant departments to ensure that the citizens' proposals are reflected in city policies."
