Hyundai Rotem announced on the 21st that 18 K2 tanks have sequentially arrived on schedule at the Port of Gdynia, Poland, between the 12th and 20th (local time). Of the 56 units scheduled for delivery this year, the remaining 38 units are planned to be delivered in the second half of the year.

Previously, Hyundai Rotem signed the first execution contract for a total of 180 urgently required K2 tanks with the Polish Military Procurement Office in August 2022, and subsequently delivered 10 units in 2022 and 18 units last year. Including this delivery, a total of 46 K2 tanks have arrived in Poland to date.

Hyundai Rotem stated that it has received favorable reviews for its rapid production and delivery management, advancing the delivery of K2 tanks by several months ahead of the original schedule. The company also explained that it is doing its utmost to maintain quality so that the K2 tanks can perform optimally in Poland. In addition to the regular performance inspections typically conducted, additional diagnostics are repeatedly performed on all K2 tanks until delivery. Inspections reflecting local feedback on K2 tanks already delivered and operated in Poland are also being carried out.

A Hyundai Rotem official said, "We will concentrate all our capabilities across all areas from production to maintenance of the Polish K2 tanks to ensure the successful completion of this project and fulfill our responsibilities."
