"National Assembly, This Is Not Acceptable"
"Can the Public Handle the Democratic Party's Appearance?"
Shin Dong-wook, a former TV Chosun anchor and the People Power Party candidate, is set to face off against Hong Ik-pyo, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, in Seocho-eul, known as a 'conservative stronghold.' In this context, he criticized the Democratic Party's issues.
On the 21st, Shin, a former anchor, said on YTN's "News King Park Ji-hoon" that "Since Hong has not served three terms in Seocho-eul, I am not overly concerned about his recognition." When asked about the situation of the Democratic Party he is facing, he said, "Those who have practically been confirmed to receive significant prison sentences are entering the National Assembly to conceal their crimes," expressing concern by asking, "Can the public bear the appearance of the Democratic Party going forward?"
He continued, "Isn't the Jokook Innovation Party even worse? It is a very unrealistic and surreal situation," adding, "The National Assembly should not be like this. I believe it has been remodeled into a Democratic Party that shields Lee Jae-myung." He also pointed out, "Many of those who defended Lee Jae-myung have entered the National Assembly. We need to consider what their primary goal is once they become lawmakers."
Shin emphasized, "If the people do not make a wise choice, the next four years will inevitably be a National Assembly engaged in a battle to shield Lee Jae-myung."
