Kosen announced on the 21st that its sales revenue last year increased by 15.3% compared to the previous fiscal year, reaching 76.8 billion KRW. This is the highest sales revenue since the company's founding.
The company stated, "Despite the economic downturn, we achieved record sales by securing trust in quality in the market," and added, "We will continue steady growth this year as well."
During the same period, operating profit and net profit were recorded at 1 billion KRW and 100 million KRW, respectively. A company representative explained, "These figures reflect one-time expenses, which correspond to non-recurring costs (such as legal fees and impairment losses on financial investment products)."
They continued, "These costs were almost finalized as of last year, and it is expected that related expenses will hardly occur this year," adding, "Profit margins are also expected to improve significantly compared to the previous year."
Kosen's stainless steel products have been recognized for their technical excellence through KS, Japanese Industrial Standards, and classification society certifications, and are sold across industries including semiconductors, shipbuilding, petrochemical facilities, as well as the aerospace and automotive industries.
Recently, Kosen reduced operating costs and secured a stable production base by acquiring the Buan factory, and at this year's regular shareholders' meeting, it plans to change its company name to 'Irem' through an amendment to the articles of incorporation.
