HYBE was the only Korean company selected among the world's 50 most innovative companies announced by the U.S. economic media outlet Fast Company.
Since 2008, Fast Company has annually selected companies that have made innovative efforts impacting industries and culture as the "World's 50 Most Innovative Companies." Along with the overall ranking of the top 50 innovative companies, rankings by industry sector are also announced. HYBE was selected as one of the top 50 innovative companies in 2020 and 2022, and this year marks the third time it has been included.
This year's top 50 innovative companies include global giants such as NVIDIA (1st), Microsoft (3rd), YouTube (7th), Google (30th), and UMG (45th). Among them, HYBE was the only Korean company to rank 23rd overall. In the industry sector, it ranked 2nd in the design category.
Fast Company cited "the strategy of Min Hee-jin, CEO of the subsidiary label ADOR, and the activities of NewJeans" as the reasons for selecting HYBE. In particular, NewJeans was praised for standing out by evoking 90s nostalgia with their unique analog atmosphere, R&B-like songs, and dreamy visuals.
Additionally, it highlighted that Min Hee-jin, a former art director, played a key role in establishing NewJeans' identity.
In an interview with Fast Company, Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, said, "My career, which started as a graphic designer and extended to a producer, has become my unique strength, allowing me to express images not only through graphics but also through sound."
