Yanolja Business Agreement, Accommodation Discount Event to Attract Spring Tourists
30% Used Up in One Day... Feeling the Popularity of Pohang Travel
Pohang City is attracting spring travelers to Pohang through a accommodation discount event in collaboration with Yanolja.
This event is a standalone accommodation discount promotion held in Pohang following the Korea Tourism Organization’s ‘Accommodation Sale Festa with Travel Months in February and March’.
In January, Pohang City and the global travel platform Yanolja signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to join forces to revitalize local tourism, and the related event began on the 18th.
The event offers tourists who use accommodations in the Pohang area discount coupons: 10,000 KRW off for reservations over 30,000 KRW and 20,000 KRW off for reservations over 70,000 KRW. Within just one day of the event’s launch, 30% of the prepared coupons were used, demonstrating the strong popularity of traveling to Pohang.
The total number of coupons prepared for the event is 1,800 coupons for 10,000 KRW discount and 1,600 coupons for 20,000 KRW discount, allowing an estimated total of 3,400 groups to benefit and visit Pohang.
The coupon issuance period for the event is until March 31, and coupons can be used until April 30. This event is on a first-come, first-served basis and will end early once the coupons are exhausted.
In Pohang, the Homi-got Canola Flower Opening Ceremony will be held this weekend on the 23rd and 24th, featuring various craft experiences and cultural performances.
Also, cherry blossoms have begun to bloom at Pohang’s representative tourist spots such as Hwanho Park Space Walk, Yeongildae Lake Park, and Cheolgilsup, and many tourists are expected to visit Pohang during this period.
Park Sang-jin, Director of the Convention and Tourism Industry Division, said, “We hope many tourists will visit Pohang, full of various sights and attractions, by taking advantage of this accommodation discount event,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure the convenience and safety of tourists and lead the effort to make Pohang a city that is great for tourism.”
