Han Dong-hoon, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated on the 20th that "we will respond earnestly to public sentiment ahead of the general election in about 20 days."

On the same day, Han visited Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, and said, "Hwang Sang-moo, Senior Secretary for Civil Society at the Presidential Office, resigned today, and Lee Jong-seop, Ambassador to Australia, will soon return to the country."

Han had previously clashed with the Presidential Office over the return of Ambassador Lee, who was under investigation for alleged external pressure related to the death of Marine Corps Corporal Chae, and the status of Senior Secretary Hwang in connection with the so-called 'Journalist Knife Incident.' On the 17th, Han mentioned the voluntary return of Ambassador Lee and the voluntary resignation of Senior Secretary Hwang. The Presidential Office refuted this on the 18th, raising concerns of a conflict between the party and the government. However, on this day, the Presidential Office abruptly accepted Han's demands, creating an atmosphere of resolving the conflict. When asked by reporters whether this would escalate into a 'second round of party-government conflict,' Han responded, "With 20 days left until the general election, the People Power Party and the Yoon Suk-yeol administration are a community of fate."

Han said on the day, "I will explain to the citizens of Gyeonggi the three differences between Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea and the People Power Party," adding, "The difference between supporting and opposing the deregulation and revitalization of reconstruction, and the difference between supporting and opposing administrative district renovation such as the establishment of Gyeonggi Buk-do."

He emphasized, "The third difference is whether to ignore public sentiment or to respond to it." He said, "There have been various controversies and aftershocks, but when there were criticisms from the public regarding past remarks that did not meet the public's expectations, we decisively organized and replaced them." The People Power Party had previously canceled the nominations of candidates Do Tae-woo and Jang Ye-chan, who were involved in controversies over 'May 18 remarks' and 'orgy remarks.'

Han added, "Please remember that the Democratic Party of Korea is not doing so."
