The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced that it will hold the 'March Traditional Market Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event' at 51 traditional markets nationwide from March 20 to 22 to alleviate consumer price burdens on agricultural and livestock products in traditional markets.

Consumers can receive Onnuri gift certificates by purchasing fresh domestic agricultural and livestock products at participating markets, bringing their receipts and ID to the refund booth within the market, and verifying their identity. Purchases between 34,000 KRW and less than 67,000 KRW will receive a 10,000 KRW refund in Onnuri gift certificates, and purchases of 67,000 KRW or more will receive a 20,000 KRW refund.

Additionally, the Ministry plans to issue Zero Pay Nonghal gift certificates, usable at traditional markets, six times from the 21st through the end of April, totaling 60 billion KRW (18 billion KRW in national funds). Individuals can purchase up to 100,000 KRW per month.

Park Sun-yeon, Director of Distribution and Consumer Policy at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said, "We hope this event will help reduce the price burden felt by citizens visiting traditional markets," adding, "The government will closely monitor the supply and demand of major agricultural and livestock products and strive to stabilize the livelihood of the people by alleviating the price burden on their shopping baskets."
