ConnectWave "Moltail's B2B Cross-Border Fulfillment Business Progressing Smoothly... 47% Increase in Shipment Volume"

Moltail is set to strengthen its sales this year based on the competitiveness it has secured in the B2B (business-to-business) cross-border fulfillment sector.

Moltail, the overseas subsidiary of Connectwave, announced on the 20th that, thanks to the expansion of its B2B business area last year, the number of shipments including fulfillment in the related field (B2B) increased by 47% from January to February this year compared to the same period last year.

This is the result of accelerating its B2B sector strategy by consecutively forming business partnerships with Gmarket ShipG’s selection of a Chinese logistics provider in November last year, Musinsa Soldout, and the cross-border market platform Croket.

In particular, the exclusive selection of the Chinese logistics provider for Gmarket ShipG led to a monopoly on volume, and business achievements with health functional food sales companies secured in the US and UK through Moltail’s own sales network drove rapid growth.

Popular Chinese products entering Korea through ShipG include seasonal items such as ice fishing equipment and cost-effective small home appliances. As the variety of these items has recently diversified, the number of shipments in February increased by more than 17% compared to January this year.

Moltail also emphasized that its ability to expand the B2B sector quickly was due to differentiated services that set it apart from other logistics companies, including ▲inspection of product appearance before shipping (checking if order information matches product model), ▲seller-customized delivery services, ▲fast customs clearance know-how, and ▲potential for data-driven business expansion.

Currently, Moltail leads the related market by recording over 2 million overseas direct purchase cases (purchase and delivery agency) annually, based on 12 logistics centers in 8 countries including the US, China, Japan, and Germany.

A Moltail representative said, “Compared to B2C business, B2B business is relatively less affected by economic downturns, and securing long-term clients enables stable business development and profit acquisition, so steady sales growth is expected. We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness with differentiated strategies that satisfy both sellers and consumers.”

Meanwhile, ShipG is an all-in-one service launched by Gmarket to ensure delivery stability and quality control for small and medium-sized sellers. Gmarket sellers sourcing products based in China can save up to 25% on logistics costs by using Moltail’s Weihai China logistics center. Additionally, Moltail provides fast and accurate cross-border fulfillment services including logistics warehousing, inspection, packing, sea transportation, customs clearance, and domestic delivery.
