Concert at Danghyeoncheon Floor Fountain Area from 4 PM on the 30th

Nowon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will hold the '2024 Danghyeoncheon Cherry Blossom Concert' at 4 p.m. on the 30th.
The concert, held around the Danghyeoncheon floor fountain next to Korea Bible University, has been moved up from May last year to March 30 this year to coincide with the cherry blossom blooming season.
The main performers include ▲ Jang Sa-ik, who sings the joys and sorrows of life with the poignant emotions of traditional Korean melodies and popular songs ▲ Choi Jung-won, a musical actor representing the first generation of Korean musicals ▲ soprano Shim Kyu-yeon, who captivates audiences with her elegant and sweet voice ▲ and the Western Symphony Orchestra, internationally recognized for its musical excellence.
The stage will open with a performance by the Western Symphony Orchestra conducted by Bang Sung-ho. The orchestra, composed of 40 members, will present not only authentic classical music but also pieces that cross various genres to the audience.
Jang Sa-ik, who has gained wide popular appeal with his outstanding vocal skills and unique singing style, will sing 'Jjillekkot' (Wild Rose) to fill the spring concert with the fragrance of wild roses.
In addition, musical actor Choi Jung-won and soprano Shim Kyu-yeon will perform, creating a diverse stage program. Collaborative performances among the artists are also planned.
The concert is free and open to everyone. To ensure safety at the venue, the district office plans to guide attendees from 2:30 p.m. and has established a separate safety management plan, deploying safety personnel to thoroughly maintain safety.
Meanwhile, from April 20 to April 28, the district will hold the '2024 Bulamsan Azalea Festival: "Again, Spring"' around Bulamsan Healing Town.
The 'Bulamsan Azalea Festival' is one of Nowon's five major festivals and will be held every weekend with various cultural programs during the azalea blooming season at 'Azalea Hill,' a representative attraction of Nowon-gu where 100,000 azalea bushes bloom.
Oh Seung-rok, mayor of Nowon-gu, said, “We hope you enjoy high-quality music close to home with the fluttering cherry blossoms, cool breeze, and the sound of water from Danghyeoncheon,” adding, “Starting with the Danghyeoncheon Cherry Blossom Concert, various performances and cultural events will continue, so we ask for your great interest and anticipation.”
