Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the ‘Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Prevention Training for Senior Officials’ held at the Yeongdeungpo District Office annex on the morning of the 19th.
On this day, 61 senior officials of grade 5 and above, including Mayor Choi, participated in lectures aimed at creating a healthy organizational culture by preventing sexual harassment and sexual violence and avoiding secondary damage.
The training was conducted for two hours by instructor Yeom Geon-ryeong, director of the Korea Institute of Criminology, focusing on sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention, introducing related laws and cases, and the role of senior officials in preventing secondary damage.
Additionally, the district recognized the importance of the role of senior officials in protecting victims when incidents occur and distributed a manager’s action manual to enable prompt response.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, “To create a sound organizational culture, the proactive attitude and consideration of senior officials are necessary,” and added, “I hope that through today’s training, managers will learn the code of conduct and work together to make Yeongdeungpo a safe place through responsible actions.”
