Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges
Police Reviewing Detention Warrant
A woman in her 20s who could not control her anger over family discord and wielded a weapon against her husband was arrested by the police.
The Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced on the 19th that they have arrested and are investigating a woman in her 20s, identified as Ms. A, on suspicion of attempted murder.
According to the police, Ms. A is accused of spraying muriatic acid on her husband, causing burns, and injuring him with a knife at their home in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, around 1 a.m. that day.
It was investigated that Ms. A committed the crime in a fit of rage after ongoing family conflicts, including her husband demanding a divorce.
The victim was transported to a hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
The police are investigating Ms. A's motive and the specific circumstances of the incident and are considering applying for an arrest warrant.
