HUniverse Global Signs Contract with Wonju Severance Christian Hospital to Build Next-Generation Hospital Information System

The medical IT specialist company 'HUniverse Global' signed a contract on the 15th to build the next-generation hospital information system for Yonsei University Wonju Severance Christian Hospital.

Wonju Severance Christian Hospital selected HUniverse Global as the final contractor last November after evaluating the technical capabilities and pricing of the project proposers. Wonju Severance Christian Hospital is a tertiary general hospital with a total of 853 beds. It decided to introduce a next-generation hospital information system to strengthen digital healthcare and improve the quality of medical services.

HUniverse Global's 'PHIS' is the world's first cloud hospital information system applied to a tertiary general hospital, completed with government research funding support. Using a single clinical terminology and code, it can generate medical big data as if different hospitals were one hospital. According to the hospital, PHIS's strengths compared to other companies include ▲ provision of clinical terminology and codes based on international standards ▲ joint research function for medical big data ▲ stable cloud system operation and advanced technical support.

Seven hospitals using PHIS, including Korea University Medical Center, and four other hospitals such as Samsung Seoul Hospital, have formed a precision medicine big data consortium to collaborate on research. Wonju Severance Christian Hospital is also expected to play a key role in precision medicine big data research as a member of the consortium after applying PHIS.

A representative of HUniverse Global stated, "We have the technology to introduce cloud-based hospital information systems to tertiary general hospitals and medium-sized hospitals, and we are currently operating PHIS stably. We will contribute together through PHIS so that Wonju Severance Christian Hospital can provide the best medical services to the local community and medical field."

Meanwhile, HUniverse Global is also preparing to enter the global market this year. To this end, it is accelerating the expansion of its business area by recruiting new personnel in technical and development positions and attracting global talent.
