Gochang-gun to Recruit '1388 Youth Support Group' Until the 17th of Next Month

The Jeonbuk Gochang-gun Youth Counseling and Welfare Center announced on the 19th that it will publicly recruit the ‘1388 Youth Support Group’ until the 17th of next month to support the safe growth of at-risk (potential) youth.

The 1388 Youth Support Group is a voluntary private participation organization that is part of the youth safety network, aimed at early detection of at-risk (potential) youth and providing both paid and unpaid resources to youth exposed to danger and those in crisis.

The recruitment target includes any residents interested in and caring for youth (individuals, institutions, and organizations are all eligible to participate).

The recruitment fields are operated in four areas: discovery/rescue, medical/legal, welfare, and counseling/mentoring, with up to six people recruited per field.

To apply, applicants must fill out the application form and consent form and either visit the Gochang-gun Youth Counseling and Welfare Center in person or submit them via email.

Only applicants will undergo an internal review for eligibility according to relevant laws and will be appointed to begin full-scale support activities.

The activity period is two years from the date of appointment, with main activities including attending regular meetings of the 1388 Youth Support Group, outreach (campaign) activities, and discovery, rescue, counseling, support, and linkage of at-risk youth.

Activity benefits include appointment to the 1388 Youth Support Group, issuance of activity certificates, and volunteer hour credits, among various other benefits.

Meanwhile, the Gochang-gun Youth Counseling and Welfare Center has launched SNS channels called ‘My Worry Counseling Center in My Hand’ (KakaoTalk Channel, Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube) to provide online counseling and various information and news related to youth.
