The ‘HBS Korea Trek 2024’ sponsored by bhc Group is a Korea study and cultural exchange program newly planned this year for students aiming to become global leaders to visit Korea in person, enhance their understanding of Korea’s history and culture, and increase interest in domestic companies.

The event, held over eight days from the 10th to the 17th, included visits to various historical and cultural heritage sites located in Seoul and Busan such as Gwanghwamun, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Yonggungsa Temple, and the DMZ. It was operated as a program where participants could deeply experience Korean culture through activities such as hanbok wearing, K-POP dance classes, and sightseeing.

Since bhc Group owns various dining brands including bhc Chicken and Changgo43, it provided HBS students visiting Korea with opportunities to learn about K-Food and directly experience Korean food culture.

In particular, on the 15th, more than 60 HBS students were invited to Changgo43 Myeongdong, a premium Korean beef specialty restaurant, where they were introduced to Changgo43’s special menu as well as representative chicken dishes from bhc Chicken, the leading brand of K-Chicken, including Bburinkle, and the sweet and crispy side menu Cheese Ball.

A student who participated in the program said, “I am very happy to have the opportunity to visit various historical landmarks in Korea and to try K-Food such as Korean beef and Bburinkle, which I had only heard about before,” adding, “It was a meaningful time to deepen my understanding of Korean culture and K-Food.”

A bhc Chicken official said, “We are honored to provide HBS students with a special and fulfilling experience in Korea through this exchange program and to promote the charm of K-Food,” and added, “Going forward, bhc Group plans to actively participate in promoting the taste and excellence of K-Food to countries around the world.”
