Jeong Yura Appeals for Support Amid Financial Hardship, Vows "To Become a Person Needed by the Conservative Right"

Complaints of Financial Hardship After 8 Years of Support
"I Will Become an Indispensable Person for Conservation," a Pledge

Jung Yura, the daughter of Choi Seo-won (formerly Choi Soon-sil), pledged to become a necessary person for the conservative right-wing if her mother is pardoned and requested support. On the 18th, Jung posted on social media (SNS) informing that her mother, Choi Seo-won, who is incarcerated in prison, is in very poor health and expressed her struggles with financial difficulties.

Regarding her mother’s health condition, Jung said, "(My mother’s symptoms) cannot be resolved by internal prison medical treatment, and she even uses a wheelchair inside," adding, "For eight years, I have been taking care of my mother in prison while also raising three children. As a human being, I have been so exhausted that since last year, there have been many days I wanted to die and many days I wanted to run away," she lamented.

In particular, she said she had no choice but to put all her management fees and other funds toward her mother’s hospital bills and lawyer fees. Jung said, "If there had been slush funds, if the building had not been confiscated, would I be living like this?" She added, "I am the head of this family, so even if I have to beg, I have to do it. To avoid becoming an even more unfilial child to my mother, who is in prison because of me and to whom I have always been unfilial, I have to do at least this."

She continued, "For the past eight years, I have thought that I am alive but dead," and "My own dreams and hopes have long disappeared, and I just want to raise my children well and see my mother pardoned." She added, "My mother, who is actually 69 years old this year, is at an age where we would worry even if she were sick at home, but she is in a vulnerable state, so my heart is burning," and appealed, "How much more miserable and how much more painful must it be for all of this to end?"

Furthermore, she said, "Even the pardon was to 'win the general election,' so I comforted my mother and cried a lot on the way back. But looking at how things are going now, I wonder what those tears were for," she added. Finally, Jung revealed her bank account number and appealed for help, pledging, "The day my mother is pardoned and the day my life stabilizes, I will become a necessary person for the conservative right-wing."
