Cheongsong-gun to Promote Residential Environment Improvement Project for Aging Apartment Complexes This Year

Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is promoting the 2024 Old Apartment Residential Environment Improvement Project on an ongoing basis until the end of this year to create a safe and clean living environment in the region's aging apartment complexes and to enhance the residential welfare of residents.

The support targets are aging apartment complexes (apartments, row houses, multi-family houses) that have passed more than 15 years since the usage inspection (usage approval). The project supports repair works for community exercise facilities and children's playgrounds within the complex, installation and repair of security lights and CCTV, repair of roads, parking lots, water and sewage facilities, rooftop waterproofing, exterior wall painting, and other common and ancillary welfare facility repairs in apartment complexes.


The subsidy support rate ranges from 50% to 80% of the total project cost depending on the size of the complex. The support limits are 10 million KRW for complexes with fewer than 10 households, 20 million KRW for 10 to 20 households, 30 million KRW for 20 to 50 households, 40 million KRW for 50 to 150 households, and 50 million KRW for complexes with more than 150 households.


Apartment complexes wishing to apply for the project should prepare the related documents (application form, resident consent form, project plan, etc.) available on the Cheongsong-gun Office website's public announcement board and submit them in person to the Comprehensive Civil Affairs Division of Cheongsong-gun Office.


Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “We will continue to carry out residential environment improvement projects for aging apartment complexes to create a pleasant and safe living environment and will do our best to achieve this goal.”
