The KOSPI rebounded after a day and is on the verge of recovering the 2700 level.
On the 18th, the KOSPI closed at 2,685.84, up 19.00 points (0.71%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, institutions were net buyers with 222.2 billion KRW. On the other hand, individuals and foreigners were net sellers with 189.4 billion KRW and 82.3 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, pharmaceuticals rose 2.47%, while chemicals, manufacturing, machinery, electrical and electronics, transportation equipment, and paper and wood all increased by more than 1%. Conversely, electric and gas fell 2.03%, and insurance, distribution, and construction declined slightly.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics closed at 72,800 KRW, up 500 KRW (0.69%) from the previous trading day. Samsung SDI and Samsung Biologics rose more than 4%. LG Energy Solution, Kia, and LG Chem increased by more than 2%. SK Hynix and POSCO Holdings also rose more than 1%. Meanwhile, NAVER, Samsung C&T, and Shinhan Financial Group fell more than 1%.
On this day in the KOSPI, 434 stocks rose, including Hwacheon Machine which hit the upper price limit, while 442 stocks fell without any hitting the lower price limit. 57 stocks remained unchanged.
The KOSDAQ closed at 894.48, up 14.02 points (1.59%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners and institutions were net buyers with 161.2 billion KRW and 108.8 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, individuals were net sellers with 249.7 billion KRW.
By sector, internet, digital content, general electrical and electronics, other manufacturing, and chemicals rose more than 3%. Manufacturing increased by 2.13%, and pharmaceuticals, IT parts, machinery equipment, and semiconductors rose more than 1%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM closed at 268,000 KRW, up 11,500 KRW (4.48%) from the previous trading day. WeMade surged 23.67%, and EcoPro, Rainbow Robotics, and Solbrain rose more than 2%. HPSP and Celltrion Pharm also increased more than 1%. Meanwhile, HLB and Alteogen fell more than 1%.
On this day in the KOSDAQ, 873 stocks rose, including Fantagio and Lithium Force which hit the upper price limit. Meanwhile, 672 stocks fell, including FlashX which hit the lower price limit, and 103 stocks remained unchanged.
