Opened within Myeonggok Financial Center and Ulsan Sales Department
Assigned multicultural staff from Chinese backgrounds
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 18th that it will operate a 'Dedicated Counter for Foreign Workers.'
The dedicated counters for foreign workers have been established at two branches: Myeonggok Financial Center and Ulsan Sales Department, each staffed with a foreign exchange marketer from a multicultural family of Chinese origin.
The foreign exchange marketers provide various financial services such as currency exchange, overseas remittance, deposits, cards, and electronic finance to foreign workers (holders of valid employment visas).
They also conduct customer consultations regarding financial tasks and inform customers about prevention methods against electronic financial frauds such as voice phishing.
Hong Eung-il, Executive Director of the Customer Planning Headquarters, stated, “We have established dedicated counters for foreign workers to support their convenient use of BNK Gyeongnam Bank and to respond to the increasing demand from foreign customers. Since the dedicated counters are set up at two branches frequently visited by foreign customers, we hope many will use them.”
Meanwhile, BNK Gyeongnam Bank has produced and distributed a 'Foreign Financial Transaction Guidebook' for foreign customers.
The Foreign Financial Transaction Guidebook contains essential financial service information for foreign customers and has been translated into six languages (Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Uzbek, and Indonesian).
