Climate Companion Card Usable on Entire 'Gimpo Gold Line' from the 30th

The First Case of Metropolitan Area Expansion... Prices Remain Unchanged
Increased Physical Card Supply at Gimpo Airport Station

Starting from the 30th, the Gimpo Gold Line will also be accessible with the Seoul Climate Companion Card.

Seoul City announced on the 18th that from the 30th, the Climate Companion Card service will be expanded to cover the entire Gimpo Gold Line. This service expansion marks the first case of the Climate Companion Card extending to a neighboring local government. After signing the 'Seoul City-Gimpo City Climate Companion Card Participation Agreement' in December last year, Seoul and Gimpo have held multiple follow-up discussions.

There will be no separate price increase despite the service area expansion. Users can continue to use the 65,000 KRW card that includes the Ddareungi bike rental voucher or the 62,000 KRW card without it.

Citizens who wish to newly use the Climate Companion Card with the addition of the Gimpo Gold Line can download and recharge it for free via the 'Mobile T-money' app on Android-based smartphones.

For purchasing physical cards, visit the customer safety offices at Seoul Metro Lines 1 to 8 stations, including Gimpo Airport Station, a major transfer station adjacent to the Gimpo Gold Line. Seoul City explained that to ensure adequate supply for new buyers during the initial phase of service area expansion, a large quantity of cards will be allocated to stations such as Gimpo Airport Station.

Yoon Jong-jang, Director of Urban Transportation at Seoul City, stated, "The expansion of the Climate Companion Card service to the Gimpo Gold Line is a model case of metropolitan transportation development that can significantly contribute to reducing the economic burden on metropolitan citizens as well as improving transportation convenience. We will do our best to expand the service to the metropolitan area and improve it so that more citizens can use the Climate Companion Card more conveniently in the future."

Meanwhile, starting from the 16th, the Ddareungi bike rental voucher benefit provided upon registering the Climate Companion Card will be enhanced from 1 hour to 2 hours.
