Korean Air announced on the 18th that it will operate the Busan~Bangkok route daily starting from the 25th of next month. This service is resuming after more than four years since it was suspended due to COVID-19. The aircraft used will be a 173-seat Boeing 737-900 ER.
The Incheon~Zhengzhou route in China will operate four times a week starting from the 24th of next month, and the Incheon~Zhangjiajie route will operate four times and three times a week respectively starting from the 23rd of the same month. Considering the gradual recovery of travel demand between Korea and China, various additional routes will be operated. From the 2nd of next month, flights between Incheon and Zurich will operate three times a week.
For routes with increased demand, the number of flights will be increased. The Incheon~Budapest route will increase from three to four times a week, and the Incheon~Bangkok route will increase from three to four times daily. The Incheon~Manila route will increase from twice to three times daily. The Incheon~Bali route was already increased from nine to eleven times a week starting January this year. The Incheon~Dallas route will increase from four times a week to daily flights.
Korean Air stated that the international passenger supply for this year’s summer schedule has recovered to about 96% of the pre-COVID-19 level. The decision to increase international supply this time is based on the judgment that passenger demand is rising, especially on popular routes recently.
