Minju nominates pro-Myeong Kim Hyun for Ansan E... Incumbent Kim Cheol-min not nominated

In the Democratic Party's 4.10 general election nominations, incumbent Kim Cheol-min (second term, Ansan Sangnok-eul, Gyeonggi), who belongs to the anti-Lee Jae-myung faction (Bi-Lee Jae-myung), lost the nomination to former lawmaker Kim Hyun, who is part of the pro-Lee Jae-myung faction (Chin-Lee Jae-myung).


On the 17th, Shin Yong-woo, Vice Chairman of the Party's Central Election Commission, announced the results of the runoffs in four constituencies, including this outcome, at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.


In the Gyeonggi Ansan-eul constituency runoff, former lawmaker Kim Hyun defeated incumbent lawmaker Kim Cheol-min.

In the Gyeonggi Bucheon-gap runoff, where two incumbent lawmakers competed, Seo Young-seok (first term, Bucheon-jeong, Gyeonggi) won against Yoo Jung-joo (first term, proportional representation).


In the Jeonnam Naju-Hwasun runoff, incumbent Shin Jeong-hoon (second term) defeated former lawmaker Son Geum-ju to receive the nomination.


In the Jeonnam Yeongam-Muan-Shinan runoff, incumbent Seo Sam-seok (second term) defeated Kim Tae-sung, Vice Chairman of the Party Policy Committee, to secure the nomination.
