Han Dong-hoon, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated on the 17th that regarding Lee Jong-seop, Ambassador to Australia, who became a subject of investigation by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) over allegations of external pressure in the investigation of a Marine Corps member's death during his tenure as Minister of National Defense, "The CIO should immediately summon him, and the ambassador should return to the country immediately."

Chairman Han said this during a meeting with reporters at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, adding, "I do not think this issue is something that should cause fatigue among the public by becoming a political dispute ahead of the general election."

Regarding Hwang Sang-mu, Senior Secretary for Civil Society at the Presidential Office, who sparked controversy with his remarks about the 'journalist knife attack,' he said, "His remarks do not meet the public's expectations, and he should decide his own position."
