On Sunday the 17th, the whole country will be mostly cloudy, gradually clearing up from the afternoon.
After the rain stops, cold air will move in, causing daytime temperatures to drop by more than 5 degrees compared to the previous day. The wind will also blow strongly, making it chilly.
With dry weather warnings issued for Gangwon Yeongdong, parts of Gyeongsang region, and eastern Jeonnam, the atmosphere is very dry. Strong winds, especially in the mountainous areas of Gangwon, require caution against wildfires and other fire hazards.
From dawn to morning, sporadic light rain will fall in the central regions (excluding Gangwon Yeongdong), Jeolla region, and Jeju Island. In Gyeongbuk region and western Gyeongnam, raindrops less than 0.1 mm may fall in some areas.
The expected precipitation on the 17th is around 1 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Chungcheong region, and Jeonbuk.
In Gwangju and Jeonnam, raindrops around 1 mm are expected over two days from the 16th to the 17th. During the same period, Jeju Island is expected to receive 5 to 10 mm of precipitation.
Fine dust levels will be 'Bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon region, Chungcheong region, Honam region, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Jeju region, while other areas will see 'Moderate' levels.
However, the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong region are expected to experience temporarily 'Very Bad' levels in the morning, and Honam region and Jeju region in the afternoon.
Morning low temperatures are forecast to be between 5 and 11 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs between 10 and 19 degrees Celsius.
