The Reform New Party stated on the 16th that the People Power Party's cancellation of the nomination of former Youth Supreme Committee member Jang Ye-chan, who was involved in a 'controversy over offensive remarks,' is "a just outcome."
Deputy Spokesperson Lee Jae-rang said in a commentary on the same day, "The very fact that candidate Jang Ye-chan shamelessly showed his face in front of the citizens of Busan was problematic," adding, "Even now, I am relieved that such an underqualified candidate has disappeared."
Deputy Spokesperson Lee also stated, "The People Power Party, which immediately dropped underqualified candidates as long as they followed the president, must feel infinite responsibility and reflect on this incident."
