Yoon: "Thoroughly Manage to Ensure Fair and Transparent Election in the General Election"

President Yoon Suk-yeol on the 15th urged, "Ensure thorough management so that the 22nd general election can be conducted as a fair and transparent election."


President Yoon made these remarks after receiving a report on the '2024 Major Policy Implementation Plan of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety' from Minister Lee Sang-min of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, according to the presidential office.


He also said, "I hope that appropriate incentives for participating public officials and police officers will be implemented without any setbacks."

President Yoon instructed, "Devise measures such as creating relocation complexes and providing tax support to enable retirees from large cities to move to areas experiencing population decline."

He also stated, "Take thorough precautions in advance to prevent casualties from natural disasters, protect frontline public officials from illegal acts by civil petitioners so that they can work with peace of mind, and pay special attention to the mental health of public officials."


Minister Lee reported that, marking the 30th anniversary of local autonomy next year, they plan to establish a regional revitalization investment fund and ease investment restrictions on local public enterprises.


Additionally, he said they will expand support for 'Good Price Restaurants' to reduce the burden of dining-out prices, and strengthen tax benefits to alleviate housing burdens for households with newborns and to support the living conditions of persons with disabilities and veterans.
