Muan Police Seungdal Patrol Station, Realizing Community Safety through Joint Patrol with Cooperative Organizations

Joint Night Patrol of Mongtan-myeon Volunteer Crime Prevention Unit and Vulnerable Areas

Muan Police Station (Chief Kang Yong-jun) Seungdal Police Substation conducted a participatory policing night joint patrol to protect the area from various crimes on the 14th at 7 p.m. in the vicinity of Mongtan-myeon, with a total of 15 participants including the Autonomous Crime Prevention Association and Mongtan-myeon Autonomous Crime Prevention members.


According to Muan Police on the 15th, this joint patrol was organized to promote citizen participation in police security service activities following the legalization of the Autonomous Crime Prevention Corps, which has assisted the police in maintaining local security for 70 years, and to suppress the atmosphere of various crimes expected to occur during the spring season.

In particular, Kim Seung-yeon, president of the Muan-gun Autonomous Crime Prevention Association, and executives also attended to express gratitude for the activities of the Muan police and to encourage the members.


On this day, Seungdal Police Substation, Muan-gun Autonomous Crime Prevention Association, and Mongtan Autonomous Crime Prevention Corps jointly conducted visible foot patrols and inspected crime prevention facilities in vulnerable areas such as commercial districts, residential areas, and schools in the vicinity.


Additionally, during the patrol, they introduced recent cases of traffic accidents during the busy farming season in rural areas to residents they met and distributed promotional materials to prevent voice phishing.


Oh Hyun-in, chief of Seungdal Police Substation, said, “We will continue to collaborate with the Autonomous Crime Prevention Corps to boost their pride through joint patrols and strengthen community security activities to improve the perceived safety of local residents, dedicating ourselves to sincere policing.”
