Overcoming Elderly Loneliness, Supporting Healthy Aging and Lifelong Learning Dreams
Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) held the '30th Muan Senior University Entrance Ceremony' on the 14th at the 3rd floor of the Senior Welfare Center.
According to the county on the 14th, the Senior University offers various programs including education on culture, health, knowledge acquisition, current affairs information, and field trips every Thursday until December.

Baek Chang-seok, President of Muan Senior University, said in his welcoming speech, "I hope the Senior University will lead to a healthy old age, and that it will be a time of comfort and encouragement for those who have worked all their lives."
Governor Kim San said, "With the rapid aging of rural areas recently, the number of elderly living alone is increasing, and loneliness among the elderly is emerging as a social problem. I hope everyone achieves their dream of lifelong learning through an enjoyable and happy university life and graduates without anyone falling behind."
Meanwhile, since its establishment in 1993, Muan Senior University has produced 1,542 graduates to date and contributes to managing health and enjoying a happy old age through education in various fields.
