The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters conducted a fire suppression drill at the fire helicopter hangar.
The Gyeonggi-do Special Response Team under the Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 15th that they recently conducted a fire suppression drill over three days in preparation for a fire occurring at the fire helicopter hangar.
The drill focused on minimizing damage caused by a hangar fire, with participation from fire helicopter pilots, mechanics, and office staff. They practiced operating fire trucks and water spraying methods. Additionally, fire suppression training using a chemical vehicle and evacuation drills for the fire helicopter were also conducted.
Choi Jun, head of the Gyeonggi-do Special Response Team, stated, "Initial response is the most important to prepare for unexpected emergencies," adding, "We will do our best through repeated training to prevent any loss of aviation assets."
