"The Resident Movement Is an Individual and Just Resignation"
An executive of the Korean Medical Association Emergency Response Committee (KMA ERC), accused of instigating collective resignation of residents and thereby obstructing work, reappeared before the police on the 14th for questioning.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Public Crime Investigation Unit summoned and investigated Chairman Park, who faces charges of instigating obstruction of work and aiding violations of the Medical Service Act.

Around 6:30 p.m. that day, after finishing the investigation, Chairman Park stated, "I was intensively questioned about the charge of instigating collective action," and added, "The police could not present any evidence related to communication with students and residents."
Chairman Park emphasized, "There was so little evidence that they even questioned why I said certain things during phone calls with reporters, which shows how lacking the materials are."
Before appearing at the police station that morning, Chairman Park said, "The police have been persistently asking whether I instigated or conspired in the collective resignation of residents," and added, "I have consistently maintained that the residents' movement was an individual and just resignation."
He further explained, "The police are focusing on how over 6,000 residents could resign simultaneously, and I explained that it was the result of individual resignations accumulating."
Regarding the posting of guidelines for military doctors and public relations officers refusing treatment on the medical community platform Medistaff, he claimed, "These students and residents are not acting under any directive, nor is the executive committee preparing and distributing such instructions."
Chairman Park was previously questioned by the police for over 10 hours on the 12th. He is scheduled to appear for a third investigation on the 18th.
Additionally, Joo Suho, the KMA ERC Media Relations Chairman, appeared at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Public Crime Investigation Unit from 10:20 a.m. to around noon that day to observe a forensic examination of his mobile phone.
Chairman Park and other current and former KMA executives face charges related to the 'collective departure of residents,' including violations of medical work commencement orders under the Medical Service Act and instigating or aiding obstruction of work.
Earlier, on the 16th of last month, the Ministry of Health and Welfare filed complaints against KMA ERC Chairman Kim Taekwoo, Chairman Joo, Chairman Park, former KMA President Roh Hwangyu, and Lim Hyuntaek, President of the Korean Pediatric Society, along with unidentified individuals who posted inciting messages online, charging them with violations of medical work commencement orders and instigating or aiding obstruction of work under the Medical Service Act.
