Sejong University announced on the 14th that it has signed a business agreement with Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province to advance AI-based bio new drug development.

The main contents of this agreement include ▲ cooperation in attracting the Gangwon Bio National Advanced Strategic Industry Specialized Complex and supporting the fostering of bio companies ▲ nurturing excellent talent in the bio industry and expanding the bio new drug research ecosystem ▲ advancing bio new drugs using AI and strengthening translational research ▲ supporting the advancement of Gangwon's bio industry through data transformation in new drug research and development.
Sejong University, Inje University, Inje University Paik Hospital, and Scripps Korea Antibody Institute are participating. More than 20 people attended the signing ceremony on the 12th, including Kim Jin-tae, Governor of Gangwon Province; Bae Deok-hyo, President of Sejong University; Jeon Min-hyun, President of Inje University; Choi Seok-jin, Dean of the College of Medicine at Inje University Busan Paik Hospital; and Jeong Yeon-ho, Director of Scripps Korea Antibody Institute.
Bae Deok-hyo, President of Sejong University, said, “Through this agreement, we hope to establish a cooperative system among the institutions so that the bio industry, one of the key future growth industries, can evolve and develop to the next level.”
