2025 Chevrolet Trax Crossover Launch
World's First Introduction of OnStar Digital Activation Feature
Korea GM launched the 2025 model of the Chevrolet Trax Crossover, a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV), on the 14th.
The 2025 Trax Crossover adds a Redline trim to the existing LS, RS, and Active trims. Chevrolet has introduced Redline editions in other models as well. The front grille, grille bar, outside mirrors, and inside the skid plate feature a shiny black exterior with red stripes.
The wheel and wheel cap designs differ, and unique patterns are engraved to emphasize a dynamic impression. Standard convenience features include 3-stage heated front seats, heated steering wheel, full auto air conditioning, rear seat air vents, push-button start, and smart key.
GM-developed connectivity service OnStar has been introduced for the first time in a domestic launch model. Remote control functions such as starting the engine, locking, and honking can be operated via a mobile application. Vehicle status information such as driving records, tire pressure, fuel level, engine oil life, and fuel efficiency can be checked, and vehicle diagnostics are also available.
OnStar, a service that first combined automobiles and communication in 1996 and was introduced to the North American market, serves 5.6 million users worldwide. The company explained that with the introduction of OnStar, a digitally activated feature designed to connect vehicles more easily and quickly has been introduced for the first time in the global market. Previously, a series of subscription procedures such as talking to a consultant were required, but in Korea, it can be done with just a few taps on the app.
The service is standard from the Active and RS trims and is expected to start within the first half of this year. It can be used free of charge for two years. OnStar services will be gradually provided for all new cars released domestically in the future. Prices remain the same as before the model year change: LS at 21.88 million KRW, Active at 28.21 million KRW, RS at 28.80 million KRW, and Redline at 25.95 million KRW.
