New Appointment of North America Division Head and Chief Operating Officer
Daedong, a future agriculture platform company, announced on the 14th that it has made key executive appointments at its North American subsidiary to expand its medium and large tractors in North America and establish an agricultural solution service base.
Daedong began local sales of its global export brand 'KIOTI' in the United States in 1985 and established its North American subsidiary Daedong USA in 1993. Strategically targeting the tractor market under 60 horsepower, it ranked third last year with an 8.3% market share in the North American tractor market under 100 horsepower.
Daedong made these executive appointments to ensure sustainable growth in North America and expand its market share in the medium and large tractor market over 60 horsepower. Park Junsik, Vice President and head of Daedong's Customer Business Division, was appointed as the head of the North American subsidiary, and Yoon Chihwan, Executive Director and head of Daedong's Business Innovation Division, was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of the North American subsidiary.
Vice President Park joined Daedong in 2021 after serving as Director of East Asia at British Telecom in the UK and Head of Global Business at KT G&E Division. He oversees domestic and international sales, leading overseas growth by targeting new markets such as Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
Daedong expects that the newly appointed head and COO of the North American subsidiary, who possess diverse global business experience, will establish and swiftly implement innovation and growth strategies for the North American business. Park Junsik, head of Daedong North America, said, “For the second quantum jump in North America, we must pursue both qualitative and quantitative growth strategies for existing businesses and acceleration strategies for future businesses. Despite difficult conditions such as global economic recession, high inflation, and high interest rates, we will enhance growth potential in North America and establish ourselves as a leading brand in the market.”
