Galaxia Moneytree, a leading domestic token securities (ST) company, announced on the 14th that it participated in the world's largest airline finance conference, 'Airline Economics Growth Frontiers KOREA 2024.'
Growth Frontiers Korea is an international airline industry event held worldwide by 'Airline Economics,' a global airline finance specialized media headquartered in the UK. It is a large-scale airline conference attended by airline industry experts from around the world, providing insights into current trends, future prospects, and business and economic aspects of the airline industry.
Galaxia Moneytree participated in this conference alongside VMIC, the law firm Kwangjang, and Shinhan Investment Corp., introducing and discussing airline finance STO (Security Token Offering). The discussion included Joo-sik Lee, Head of STO Business Team at Galaxia Moneytree; Kyo-hoon Nam, CEO of VMIC; Jung-myung Lee, Head of Digital Finance Team at Kwangjang Law Firm; and Tae-joon Kim, Senior Officer of the Blockchain Department at Shinhan Investment Corp. They explained the first domestic aircraft engine lease token securities, which are targeted for issuance this year as part of airline finance STO.
Joo-sik Lee, Head of STO Business Team at Galaxia Moneytree, stated, “The aircraft engine lease token securities are expected to partially alleviate the burden of spare engine lease fees for aircraft by raising private funds. Through this, it can contribute to flexible maintenance planning for airlines and the provision of safe airline operation services.”
Galaxia Moneytree is participating as the issuer of the airline finance engine lease token securities, which are issued as trust beneficiary certificates. They are preparing procedures for issuance and public offering. Since signing the airline finance STO consortium MOU in September last year, they have been rapidly advancing the business while closely communicating with financial authorities, including applying for innovative financial services in January this year.
Following this event, Galaxia Moneytree is accelerating efforts to seek collaboration opportunities for the aircraft engine lease STO product with major companies and overseas financial institutions in countries such as Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
